Kansas City MBA Program

The mission of The Helzberg School of Management is to develop leaders of competence and conscience. In the MBA program, you will become that kind of leader – someone who is ready to embrace change and transform themselves, their organization and their community. To learn more about what distinguishes the Rockhurst MBA, register to attend our next information session.

Students choose the Helzberg MBA for its:

Core structure. There are shorter, two credit hour courses, more terms per year and more opportunities to pick up a concentration in the area of your choice. Additionally, choose the best schedule for you.

  • Part-time option – take one or two evening courses per term and finish in about two years.
  • Accelerated option – take a heavier course load and earn your degree in just five terms – less than one year.

Intensive focus on professional development. You will work with a group of professional coaches to reflect on classroom experiences and analyze ways to apply them to your current position or career goals. You will leave Rockhurst with a clear plan for your advancement – a network, a mentor and targeted career strategy.

Mentorship. Our professional coaches will match each student with potential mentors from the business community.

Leadership workshops. These sessions, many of which are offered through the Center for Leadership and Ethics, expose you to insights from other business professionals as well as providing a forum to interact with business leaders and MBA program alumni.

Dynamic E-portfolio. This resource will record all of your coursework, personal and professional development reflections, mentor interactions and more. As part of the final capstone course, you will hone this into a resource for your current or potential employer to showcase your accomplishments.

Faculty: Many faculty members are consultants and executives. MBA students benefit from their contemporary knowledge of the industry and extensive network of contacts.

Network of successful alumni. More than 1,800 Rockhurst University MBA alumni live and work in the greater Kansas City area – many are CEOs, presidents, vice presidents and managers of local firms. And more than 2,600 MBA alumni are employed around the world.
