Tenure Track Faculty Position - Marketing

Helzberg School of Management

Rockhurst University Helzberg School of Management is seeking a full time tenure track assistant/associate professor in Marketing beginning in August 2014. The Helzberg School of Management is accredited through AACSB International and is the only accredited private institution in the area.

Candidates should hold a doctorate in a related field, exceptional ABD’s considered.  Candidates must have experience teaching Marketing and in one or more of the following subject areas:  Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Sustainability or Business Communications.

Visiting Professor – Health Care Management

Helzberg School of Management

Rockhurst University Helzberg School of Management is seeking a full time visiting professor in our Health Care Management program beginning in August 2014. The Helzberg School of Management is accredited through AACSB International and is the only accredited private institution in the area.

This position is for two years and may be convertible to a tenure-track position. Candidates should hold a doctorate in a related field, exceptional ABD’s considered.  Candidates must have teaching experience in two or more of the following subject areas:  Health Care Management, Health Care Quality Improvement, Health Care Information Technology or Practice Management.   In addition, candidates will be expected to teach in other business school fields as appropriate.

Responsibilities include: teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, advising students, and collaborating with others in the university setting.  A commitment to scholarly activities and service both to Rockhurst and the external community is also required.

Visiting Clinical Faculty Position

Communication Sciences & Disorders

Rockhurst University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Clinical Coordinator. The Clinical Coordinator position is a 12-month, full-time position, beginning January 2014. The status of this non-tenure track Clinical Faculty Position will be reviewed annually. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing all areas of graduate and undergraduate clinical education. These duties include scheduling all on and off campus clinical placements, supervising clinical experiences, coordinating and supervising the community hearing screening program, working with faculty and staff, completing affiliation agreements with externship sites, managing community relationships and securing new sites, teaching clinical education courses, conducting clinical site visits, and administrative duties consistent with the position. Additional clinical related duties may be required.

Excellent organizational and professional skills are required for this position. A Master’s degree in speech-language pathology with a minimum of 5 years clinical practice is required. The individual must hold current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA and be eligible for Missouri and Kansas state licensure. Experience in higher education preferred. Familiarity with medical and educational facilities in the greater Kansas City is preferred. Review for qualified applicants will begin immediately and continue until a candidate is hired.
