Meet the Makers! Engaging local leaders in KC

2020 makers
Thursday, February 20, 2020 - 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Pedro Arrupe, S.J., Hall Auditorium

Are you curious about how Betty Rae's grew so quickly in Kansas City? Or how an RU alumna is making her name known in the accessory industry? What about how a passion for healthy living is changing this city for the better? Or are you interested in learning about the man behind Kansas City Chiefs, KC Wolf?

These Kansas City leaders have the answers to your burning questions about how they got to where they are. Learn from some of the most innovative minds of KC, including:

  • Mary Nguyen, co-owner of Betty Rae's Ice Cream
  • Emily Bordner, '15 MBA, owner of EB & Co.
  • Chris Goode, owner of Ruby Jean's Kitchen & Juicery
  • Dan Meers, KC Wolf and author of Wolves Can't Fly

This program will be moderated by Acey Lampe, Executive in Residence and Co-Director of Dean's Scholar Program at Rockhurst.

The Young Alumni Council invites all alumni and friends of the University to an evening at Rockhurst learning from each of our speakers. Presented in a TED Talk format, each speaker will hit on their experiences in the KC makers market.
