Join the Student Alumni Association and RU alumni for a virtual networking event. Make connections with Rockhurst alumni, learn more about the work graduates have done with their Rockhurst degree, and practice virtual networking! The program will begin with introductions from all of our alumni who will join us, then you will be divided into breakout rooms based on your major and the alum from that certain field. This is an opporunity you don't want to miss!

Name: Sarah Jones

Major: Mass Communications

Current Employer: Missouri Attorney General’s Office

Title: Assistant Attorney General for Special Litigation

Favorite RU memory: Dr. Ken Mellard’s Women in Leadership class. I still think about that class today!

Best Advice: Your network is your strongest tool - utilize it sparingly but know its power. Don’t be afraid to ask for what you need.

Favorite RU memory: Getting to complete my MBA with my brother Mike Boehm. We had classes together and got to spend some quality time which was nice due our busy schedules.

Best Advice: Be your authentic and engaging self whether it is personal or professionally. When you are authentic and engaged you are more likely to be nimble, have fun, and show grit when necessary in life.

Best Advice: Show up, wholeheartedly, for everything you do. Be a sponge and learn from every single person you meet. Discover where your passions and skills intersect with the world's needs, and go for it!

Favorite RU memory: COLLEGE SOCCER, practices and games and living in on-campus housing with my great roomies!

Best Advice: It is ok to not know what you want to do, explore your options and always ask questions. Use your connections in this world.

Favorite RU memory: So many good memories but one of my all time favorites is attending the mission trip to Belize. I learned so much about myself, some of my fellow students, The Jesuit mission and the Belizean culture. I loved expanding my knowledge and experience beyond my everyday routine. 

Best Advice: Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Get involved and take this time to find you true self.
