ArtOberfest: Poetry for Social Change Workshop with Grace Wilentz

Join Dublin, Ireland-based visiting poet Grace Wilentz for a workshop focused on the power of poetry to advance social change. Poems mystify and rattle. They remind us that the poem is a place for freedom, and for declaring individual standards of beauty and justice. Through this three-hour workshop, participants will come away with new poems, receive support and feedback, and discover new perspectives on the art of writing poetry. If desired, poems generated during the workshop can be collected and designed into graphic broadsheets for public display on the Rockhurst campus. All skill levels are welcome and no experience in writing poetry is required! Registration is a must as space is limited. $15 fee includes refreshments and writing materials (Rockhurst students free of charge). Please register here.
