 Kathryn Nuernberger opens the spring season of the Midwest Poets Series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 7, in Arrupe Hall Auditorium on the Rockhurst University campus with an evening of poetry inspired equally by the esoteric and the everyday.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Nuernberger now lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and teaches creative writing at the University of Minnesota. Her most recent collection, The End of Pink, won the prestigious James Laughlin Award from the Academy of American Poets.
