Educators' Back to School Happy Hour 2021

Alumni educators, you successfully made it through the challenging 2020-2021 school year! You should all be very proud of your leadership.

We invite you to join fellow educator alumni for a campus happy hour to celebrate and kick off the upcoming academic year. Those who work in schools are welcome to attend! Teachers, Para-Educators, Speech-Language Pathologists, School Counselors, Therapists, Administrators, Social Workers, and Program Directors.

At the beginning of the happy hour, members of the JE Dunn team will host a private tour of the current construction of Sedgwick Hall at 6:15 p.m. This will be a special opportunity! Many of you attended classes within Sedgwick's historic walls and may be interested in viewing the reimagination (construction) progress. Please note, tour begins promptly at 6:15 pm. This will be a hard hat tour and safety is a top priority. Please wear comfortable clothing to walk in and closed-toe shoes.

In addition, we will have members of the inaugural class of RU's newest Ed.D. program share their reflections from the first year. This will be a time for you to meet fellow educator professionals for conversation and connection.

Register TODAY. Your $5 registration includes appetizers and RU gifts for your classroom. A cash bar will be offered.

*Please note: the COVID Delta variant has made event planning difficult. We are proceeding with our plans to gather but, per KCMO mandate, we have to require masks regardless of vaccination status. We have plenty of patio seating for distancing. If anything changes, we will keep you informed.
