Mairead Greene, Ph.D., has taught using an inquiry-focused, active-learning approach for more than 10 years. Her goal is to provide students with a learning environment that encourages them to develop as independent thinkers and problem solvers. 

Her interests include writing curriculum for inquiry classrooms, how to effectively assess mathematical understanding and how to teach using an inquiry-based approach online. 

Greene has a Ph.D. in algebraic number theory from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
