Rockhurst University is in the city for good. RU continues to build strategic partnerships that strengthen our community and offer unique educational opportunities for our students. On Tuesday, October 1 we will be highlighting two community organizations that work with individuals and families to go from Social Services to Self Sufficient.

Natasha is the founder of the Grooming Project which is a pilot program of Empowering the Parent to Empower the Child (EPEC) a nonprofit in Kansas City, MO. The Grooming Project is devoted to helping impoverished families become self-reliant through job training in the high-demand, high-pay trade of pet grooming.  Tiffany is the Director of the Prosperity Center which provides services across three areas: employment placement and career improvement; financial education and coaching; and access to income supports.

Please bring donation items of toilet paper, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, trash bags and tampons for the Grooming Project.

Register today! Cost to attend is $20 and includes lunch.
