Am I required to live on campus?

Rockhurst University has a residence requirement that requires all full-time students to live with their parents or on campus unless students meet one of the following conditions:

  • Students classified as juniors having completed 60 hours with at least a “C” average.
  • Students who have lived on our campus or another campus for f our semesters.
  • Declared nursing students who reside in the Research Housing Complex.
  • Students who average 23 or older.
  • Student who have completed active, full time military service.
  • Student who have a spouse or dependents living with them.

I am a graduate student. Can I live on campus?

Rockhurst does not have graduate housing set aside for only graduate students. We do offering housing when available to graduate students. Please contact the Office of Residence Life if you would like further information.

Who is eligible to live in the Townhouse Villages or On Campus Houses?

The Townhouse Villages and On Campus Houses are reserved for upperclass students who apply in groups in the spring. To apply for a four person 2 bedroom units and Six person 3 bedroomroom units groups must have 50% of group members with 45 credit hours or more. All group members applying for and OCH unit must have 45 credit hours or more.

How are the Townhouse Villages or On Campus Houses assigned?

Selection for housing in the Townhouse Village and On Campus Houses are based on a formula of credit hours x GPA combined with student leadership and service transcripts. Transfer students can use no more than 15 credit hours from another institution towards their overall score.
