Freshman Orientation Leaders
The success of the Orientation Program depends on the willingness of current students to volunteer their time as leaders and coordinators.
Each January, applications are available to any current freshman who participated in their own orientation program the previous August. Typically 60 to 70 students apply and 25 to 30 students are chosen. The time commitment is limited to the week before classes begin in August. This includes 2 days of training and 4 days of Orientation.

Each October, any student who served as an Orientation team or activity leader is eligible to apply for an Orientation Coordinator position. Coordinators are juniors (4) and seniors (4) who plan and implement the Orientation program as well as interview and train the leaders.
The time commitment includes weekly meetings in the spring semester with ongoing projects and planning throughout the summer months. In addition, coordinators return to campus 10 days before classes begin in August. Coordinators commit to a 2-year cycle. *Requires Acrobat Reader |
