Voices for Justice

VOICES for JUSTICE is a student social justice organization. VOICES stands for "Voicing Our Ideas Can Ease Suffering."  VOICES was first established in 2001 as a group of students who protested at the annual School of the Americas peace rally and protest in Columbus, GA.  JUSTICE stands for "Jesuit University Students Together in Concerned Empowerment."  JUSTICE is a nationally recognized Jesuit student organization seeking social justice in a number of fields.  JUSTICE plays a crucial part in leading the Ignatian Family Teach-in for the Jesuit community during the SOA protest weekend. VOICES for JUSTICE is also concerned with Fair Trade products, especially coffee, and how a wide-range of wrongs in the world can be made right through inspiration and action (faith and works) from religious documents, education, solidarity, and empowerment for all people.
