Alpha Sigma Nu is the Honor Society of all Jesuit institutions of higher education. Founded in 1915, Alpha Sigma Nu honors a select number of Junior and Senior students each year on the basis of scholarship, loyalty to Jesuit ideals, and service to the college or community. The Honor Society attempts to stimulate intellectual life for students, and it is one of the highest honors that can be given on any Jesuit campus. Invitations to apply for membership are given based on overall class rank, and election to Alpha Sigma Nu is done through consideration of the three criteria for membership.
