Did you realize that more than 1/3 of your education is funded by outside support? It’s true. Tuition and fees do not cover the entire cost of your education. No matter if you are a graduating senior or new freshman, together we can make an impact. Five gifts of $50 could purchase three academic books for the library. Twenty gifts of $25 could update a classroom with innovative technology. Even just 10 gifts of $10 could provide a new residence hall mattress. And we could all use a cat nap from time to time!
Whether you give $1 or $20, every gift makes a difference!
24 Hour Student Giving Challenge - Giving Tuesday - Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2014
The Student Giving Committee will be sponsoring the second ever 24 Student Giving Challenge on Dec. 3. The 24 Hour Student Giving Challenge is a contest between all classes to see which class can have the most gifts to the Rockhurst Fund in one day!
Students will be able to turn their gift in in the Fishbowl from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. You can also pick up a snack, and take a picture saying why you chose to give back to Rockhurst.
All donors from the class that turns in the most gifts will be able to skip the line at Senate Midnight Breakfast on Dec. 10.
What is the Student Giving Committee?
The Student Giving Committee is responsible for promoting student giving to Rockhurst. They plan special events throughout the year including the 24 Hour Student Giving Challenge. The committee is open to all students and meets twice per month on Monday evenings.
