Jan. 15 (Sunday) - Residence Halls re-open for Spring Semester at 2:00 PM
Jan. 18 (Wednesday) - First full day of spring classes
Feb. 6 (Monday) - Spring Open Room Change Period begins
Mar. 2 (Friday) - Spring Open Room Change Period ends
Mar. 2 (Friday) - Residence Halls close at 5:30 PM for Spring Break
Mar. 11 (Sunday) - Residence Halls re-open at 2:00 PM
May 9 (Wednesday) - All facilities close at 5:30 PM for non-graduates
May 10 (Thursday) - All facilities close at Noon for students with make-up exams
May 13 (Sunday) - All facilities close at Noon for graduates

Fall 2012

Aug. 18 (Saturday) - All Campus Housing opens for move-in at 8:00 AM
Aug. 22 (Wednesday) - First full day of fall classes
Sept. 5 (Wednesday) - Fall Open Room Change Period begins
Sept. 28 (Friday) - Fall Open Room Change Period ends
Oct. 10-14 (Wednesday-Sunday) - Fall Break [All Residence Halls remain open]
Nov. 21-25 (Wednesday-Sunday) - Thanksgiving Break [All Residence Halls remain open]
Dec. 7 (Friday) - Residence Halls close at 5:30 PM for Winter Break

Academic Break Times

* Residence Halls will be closed for Winter Break. No Residence Hall break housing will be offered. Note: Students are not required to move belongings out of their Residence Hall room during fall, winter, or spring breaks if they are returning. However, residents should take all items that will be needed during the break since residents do no have access to their Residence Hall room during break times.

THV and OCH communities do not close for academic breaks. For security purposes, THV/OCH Residents staying over breaks (Fall break, Thanksgiving break, Winter break, and Spring break) must register in the Office of Residence Life.

Health and Safety inspections will be done at every closing and during scheduled Health and Safety inspections. Staff will post signs 24 hours prior to starting inspections. For more information about Health and Safety inspections please contact the Office of Residence Life.

Break Housing (Academic Year)

Residents living in Residence Halls are not allowed to stay in these buildings over Christmas or Spring break and should seek alternative living arrangements. Residents Halls remain open for Fall break, Thanksgiving break and Easter break.

Residents living in THV/OCH residences may stay over breaks but are required to register with the Office of Residence Life for security purposes prior to the beginning of each break. Please contact the Office Residence Life at (816) 501-4663 or housing@rockhurst.edu with questions.

Summer School Housing

Summer housing information and applications are posted under Summer Housing. If you have questions please contact the Office of Residence Life. Only students enrolled in summer and Fall classes at Rockhurst will be allowed to live on campus during the summer term. Students who are on disciplinary probation I or II are not eligible for summer/break housing.
