Rockhurst University’s Outreach Program to Secure Student Success
Thursdays, 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. beginning September 25 and ending November 20, 2008.
During fall and spring semesters, two, eight-week sessions of RU College Bound workshops will be held at the Rockhurst Community Center, providing over 32 hours of programming. RU College Bound is a collaboration of the Rockhurst Community Outreach and Relations and the Center for Service Learning. Rockhurst students provide program tutoring and leadership.
Rockhurst student leaders are planning the following for 2008-2009:

One-to-one tutoring and homework help in academic, basic skills

College entrance exam preparation and test-taking strategies

Rockhurst campus tour – students will learn appropriate questions to ask when making a college visit or interviewing with admissions counselors

High school student sessions with admissions, financial aid and academic advising staff designed to answer questions about preparing for and enrolling in college

One-to-one practice completing college applications and financial aid forms
