The Electronic Classroom was made possible with funding
from the Rockhurst University Library Guild. The Electronic
Classroom is intended to be used by library staff to
promote the information literacy of Rockhurst University
students, faculty and staff from all departments. Community
users of the library do not have access to the computer
network at Rockhurst University so they do not have
access to the electronic classroom at any time.
Policy on Use
This classroom will be used for information literacy
instruction in conjunction with academic courses for
Rockhurst University students, faculty and staff.
Classes taught by faculty of other departments will
NOT be scheduled in this classroom.
When not in use for instructional purposes, the classroom
may be used as an open computer lab for Rockhurst
students, faculty or staff.
Valid users must vacate the classroom prior to the
beginning of a class as instructed by a librarian..
The classroom cannot be reserved for group study
or instructional purposes by non-library personnel.
Requests to use the classroom by groups
other than those affiliated with Rockhurst
University will be considered by the Head
of Public Services and the Director of the
Library. These requests will usually not
receive priority during the regular academic
year due to heavy use of the classroom by
Rockhurst students, faculty and staff.
Scheduling
Signs will be posted on the library front doors and
other access points throughout the building to notify
users of when the classroom will be closed for instructional
purposes. When the classroom is closed Rockhurst University
students, faculty and staff may checkout a laptop
computer from the Circulation Desk on the main floor
of the library to use in-house or use a computer lab
in other campus buildings such as Conway, Science Center,
Sedgewick or Van Ackeren.

will be posted on the Greenlease Library web site at
www.rockhurst.edu/services/library/workshops/schedule.asp.
