Each stock exchange has an extensive set of standards
for a company to be listed. Some of these criteria are
listed below. In today's fluctuating market, these standards
are subject to change.

American Stock Exchange

The American Stock Exchange has both "quantitative and
qualitative standards" for a company to be listed. Among
the quantitative standards for a U.S. company to be
listed initially, it must have a shareholders' equity
of $4 million and it must have earned $750,000 in the
last fiscal year (or in two of the last three years).

NASDAQ tends to emphasize technology stocks more than
the other U.S. exchanges. For an initial listing, companies
must have a shareholders' equity of $15 million and

The New York Stock Exchange is the "largest equities
