| Rockhurst University students,
faculty and staff only may access selected library databases from off campus
by using the VPN proxy server service provided by the Rockhurst University Computer
Services department. - Logging into the VPN proxy server gives your
computer a temporary Rockhurst University internet address which can be recognized
by the companies that provide databases to the library.
- Additional
services are also available through VPN.
Follow the instructions
on the VPN Portal Homepage at https://vpn.rockhurst.edu/. Questions
or problems with VPN should be directed to the Computer Services Helpdesk at 816-501-4357. Their hours are listed on their website.
Once logged into the VPN proxy server click on the "Library Databases"
link to access the databases. Some databases require using a password even
when accessing through VPN. These databases are indicated by "password protected"
next to the database link. Please contact the Greenlease Library Information Desk
at 816-501-4188 for requirements to use "password protected"
databases.
