Assistant Athletic Trainer
Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO seeks a full-time, 10 month (August through May), assistant athletic trainer to provide coverage for eleven NCAA teams. Responsibilities to include: practice and game coverage for all teams, injury evaluation documentation and rehabilitation, physician referrals and paperwork; strength conditioning with student athletes; assist with the administration of training room, staff, budget and purchasing; assist in the coordination of NCAA drug testing for the campus.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in athletic training, physical education, health or related field, NATA-BOC certification, LAT with state of Missouri licensure, minimum one year of experience as a college/university athletic trainer. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in athletic training or related field, CSCS certification, Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Applicant must be able to work long hours and be available for holidays as game and practice schedules dictate. Position begins immediately. Head Athletic Trainer

Learning Strategies Coordinator
Rockhurst University currently has an excellent opportunity for a Learning Strategies Coordinator in the Gervais Learning Center. This position is responsible for consulting and assisting students in developing and refining study strategies; coordinating the Peer Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction programs to include training and supervising student tutors/leaders; and providing assistance to students in the area of writing. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in education, developmental education, educational psychology, English or other related field along with 3-5 years of related experience. Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience tutoring or counseling in a higher education environment is preferred. Associate Vice President - Admissions
Rockhurst University currently has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services. The incumbent will lead, manage, and direct the efforts of freshman, transfer and graduate admission and will also have responsibility for enrollment operations and Financial Aid. Working with Noel-Levitz products, the AVP will analyze data for departmental progress and will determine opportunities to improve recruitment effectiveness. This position requires a Bachelor's degree with a Master's degree preferred and a minimum of 5 years of relevant admissions experience. Excellent written, oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are also required. Individuals must have a strong understanding of the undergraduate and graduate recruitment process including electronic data management. Candidate should have 3-5 years management experience in an admissions environment which includes meeting recruitment goals and handling deadline pressures. The successful candidate must have the ability to think strategically and creatively. Administrative Assistant for Academic Affairs
Rockhurst University currently seeks an Administrative Assistant for Academic Affairs. This position provides administrative support to the Academic Vice President including maintaining a calendar, arranging meetings, and compiling and mailing faculty contracts. This position also provides administrative support to five key committees; coordinates special events including annual commencement and student achievement reception; coordinates student course survey process; and provides institutional research support by completing surveys, compiling institutional reports on enrollment, and providing faculty information for the University catalog. Qualified candidates will have at least 3-5 years experience in an administrative assistant role. Must have strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidentiality and ability to work independently is essential. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are also necessary. Previous experience in higher education is preferred.
