Women's Basketball: Hawks notch 83-50 win over Lincoln
Sophomore forward Julie Cook posted 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Rockhurst Hawks to an 83-50 victory over Lincoln Saturday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House. Box Score
Cook made six of 10 field goals as the Hawks connected on 30 of 55 shots for 54.5 percent shooting. She also recorded six assists and two steals in 34 minutes.
At the free-throw line, the Hawks sank 16 of 20 for 80-percent accuracy. Cook and sophomore guard Chelsea Barnett were both 4-for-4 at the foul line.
Freshman center Meghan Hurley scored all 12 of her points in the first half to power the Hawks to a 41-20 halftime lead.
Sophomore guard Erin Morrisey scored nine of her 13 points in the first half. Sophomore forward Amy Hake tallied seven of her 10 points in the second half.
Rockhurst also won the rebound battle by a 45-30 margin, paced by senior center Courtney Farmer's 13 rebounds.
The Hawks, 1-2, host Avila on Monday at 7 p.m.
