Volleyball: Hawks capture 20th win at UW-Parkside
Emily Levy posted 17 kills and seven blocks to lead Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Wisconsin-Parkside Friday night in Somers, Wis.
Maggie McGovern finished with 10 kills and four blocks. Alyssa Emerson collected 37 assists and eight digs. Lindsey Schwent added 10 digs.
Rockhurst closed out the regular season with a 3-0 loss at 11th-ranked Lewis on Saturday. McGovern led the Hawks with six digs and three blocks.
The Hawks, 20-13 overall, finished fifth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 9-5 record. The Hawks will face fourth-seeded Northern Kentucky in the first round of the GLVC Tournament on Friday at 5 p.m. at Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.
On Oct. 31, Rockhurst pushed 10th-ranked Indianapolis to the brink before falling short, 3-1, at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Hawks rallied from a 7-0 deficit to win the first set, 31-29. The Greyhounds outscored Rockhurst in the next three sets, 25-22, 25-18 and 25-21.
Maggie McGovern and Katy Hernandez led the Hawks with 12 kills apiece.

Levy, who named the GLVC Player of the Week for her performance last week, finished with nine kills and three blocks. Emerson posted 40 assists and 11 digs. Andrea Schroeder led the Hawks with 21 digs. Kate Reiter added 10 digs.
Maggie McGovern and Hernandez powered Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory over Saint Joseph's at home on Oct. 30. The Hawks won by scores of 25-15, 25-6 and 25-12 over the Pumas.
Levy added nine kills and seven blocks in the win. Schroeder collected a team-high 13 digs and Emerson posted 35 assists.
