Baseball: Troilo named to All-GLVC Third Team
Zach Troilo was the only player from Rockhurst to receive All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors. The senior center fielder from Wichita, Kan., was named to the All-GLVC Third Team.
Troilo finished the season with a .326 batting average, 10 doubles, 18 RBI and 11 stolen bases. He was the team's co-leader in runs scored with 34 and led the Hawks with a .991 fielding average.
Rockhurst wrapped up the season with a doubleheader split at Quincy on Sunday. Junior Ryan Morgan held Quincy to three hits to lead the Hawks to a 4-2 victory in the first game. Quincy rallied from a 3-0 deficit to capture the nightcap 8-5.
The Hawks wrapped up the 2008 season with a 20-33 overall record and 11-21 record in the GLVC.
