Mayorga-Perry was a two-time All-American at the University of Kentucky in 2001-02. She was an NCAA doubles semifinalist and ranked No. 3 in the nation. She was also the recipient of the National Arthur Ashe Award for Leadership and Sportsmanship in 2002.

A recipient of the Southeastern Conference Community Service Award in 2002, Mayorga-Perry was a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll selection. Prior to attending Kentucky, she was a national tennis champion in Columbia.

After graduating from Kentucky in 2003, Mayorga-Perry was an assistant tennis professional in Lexington, Ky. She has served as the director of tennis at the National Golf Club in Kansas City, Mo., since 2003.
