Nursing Experience

Looking for a hands-on experience in the field of nursing? Rockhurst University, in partnership with Research College of Nursing, is offering a unique experience for high school students interested in nursing.

For four days, you will work on group projects, take part in laboratory experiments, and engage in exciting discussions. You can expect to receive hands-on experience in a college science laboratory instructed by full-time professors. You’ll learn about the expanding role of nurses in modern health care, and gain valuable skills to use in your academic and professional career.

Scholarships are available from The Research Foundation, thanks to a grant from the R.A. Long Foundation.

Apply online by May 10, 2014. Acceptance is based on academic performance and completion of science and math courses. 

Upon acceptance, download and fill out the following forms:

Photo Release Form (PDF)

Following acceptance, we’ll send you a health status form to complete by May 24, 2014. At that time, you’ll pay the $275 fee, which covers your room, meals, recreational activities, instructional materials and equipment for you to keep.
