Instructions for Non-first time Windows users who already have the SmartEnforcer installed.

1) Physically or wirelessly connect to the network.

2) You should have a light blue "e" icon in your system tray towards the right side of your task bar similar to the one below.

3) If you do not see the icon you may have to clcik the "<" icon to show more items. If you still do not see it, you should click on the start button, then program files or all programs, then Perfigo, then SmartEnforcer and then SmartEnforcer again. Once done, you should see the icon in the system tray.

4) ) In order to login to the network, you must right-click on the icon and choose "login".

5) If login is not an option and there is only logout, then choose logout and then right click again and it should say login.

6) This will bring up the Smart Enforcer and requires you to login with your Rockhurst account.

7) Once authenticated, it will scan your computer for vulnerabilities.

8) If your computer does not meet the minimum requirements, it will only give you temporary access to the websites that will help you.

9) Once you click continue, it will guide you through the steps that are necessary to update your computer.

10) The most common reasons will be updates for Windows, Virus software, and Virus definition files.

11) In the example below, this computer is not allowed access because it has no virus software.

12) If you click go to link, it will open a browser and take you to a site to help walk you through updating your machine.

13) Some of these sites will require you to login to gain access. If so, use Rockhurst\username for your username and your normal password as in the example.

14) Once finished, click next and once your machine has met all the minimum requirments, you will recieve a message similar to the one below.

15) Once you have this message, click ok and you will have normal network access.

16) To avoid having to scan your machine very often, make sure you stay current on your Windows Updates and your virus definition files.
