Think your single donation doesn’t matter?
Regardless of its size, every gift makes a difference to Rockhurst, says Jennifer McKnight, director
of annual giving.
“One of the most important and effective things
you can do to help Rockhurst is to make a gift every
year to the Rockhurst Fund,” says McKnight. “Last year, 10.35 percent of our alumni made contributions to the University. This year our goal is 12 percent.”
To meet that target, the University needs at least 300 new alumni donors. If all of the alumni who did not make a donation last year gave $50 to the Rockhurst Fund this year, the University would raise more than $750,000 in additional funds.
Rockhurst benefits from your annual
donations in multiple ways. A higher alumni giving rate boosts our standing in national rankings with peer institutions, helps attract quality students, increases financial support
from foundations and corporations, funds tuition
assistance, enables the University to enhance its physical campus and helps recruit outstanding faculty who are dedicated to transforming lives in the Jesuit tradition.
“Look how much one gift matters,” says McKnight. “By showing through your gift that Rockhurst matters to you, you make Rockhurst matter to others.” |
