Rockhurst to Co-host Conference on Parish Social Work
In conjunction with the National Catholic Reporter, Rockhurst University will host a two-day conference addressing the practical application of the Gospel mandate in today’s parish social service work. On Thursday and Friday, Oct. 8 and 9, “A Summons to Build” will bring together pastors, deacons, social ministry directors and parishioners interested in expanding and improving their parish outreach to those in need. Fr. Thomas Curran, O.S.F.S, President of Rockhurst University, will perform the welcome address and serve as the Eucharistic Celebrant in the concluding liturgy.
