Rockhurst University Creates Mobile Community with the Power of a Single ApplicationOctober 18, 2011

Rockhurst University plans to connect students and faculty using a single mobile application to make campus-related information available at their fingertips. 

The new AT&T* Campus Guide application, set to roll-out at the university next month, will include access to course portals, social media capabilities with class directories, GPS-enabled maps and the latest in Hawk sports and events – keeping busy students on-the-move toward academic success.  “Implementing this application allows us to engage our current students and attract prospective ones who increasingly use their cell phones as a main source of information,” said Michael Craig, Director of Infrastructure Services at Rockhurst University. “Instead of investing in creating a new app that would only work on certain mobile operating systems, AT&T offered the possibility of extending our reach with one single application.”  The AT&T Campus Guide app, which users can download for free, works with any service provider and on most major mobile operating systems.  College and university representatives can learn more about AT&T Campus Guide at the EDUCAUSE conference in AT&T booth, #1243, from Oct. 18-21, 2011 in Philadelphia.
