Rockhurst University is mourning the death of one of its alumni in the tragic shootings Sunday, April 13, in Overland Park, Kan.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families affected by the tragedies of the Overland Park shootings,” said the Rev. Thomas B. Curran, president of Rockhurst University. “Terri Hastings LaManno, a 2006 OT alumna, perished while visiting her mother. May her commitment to her mother and the service she provided to the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired inspire all of us to provide service and compassion to those in need and confront hate with the offer of peace.”
Visitation for LaManno is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Parish. Funeral services for LaManno are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, also at St. Peter’s Parish.
