Men's Soccer: Rockhurst blanks NKU, 2-0; Coach Tocco wins his 600th career gameNovember 11, 2011

Sophomore forward Mark Magee scored both of Rockhurst’s goals to lead the sixth-ranked Hawks to a 2-0 victory over 22nd-ranked Northern Kentucky in the second round of the NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Tournament Nov. 13 at Rockhurst. Ryan Bass posted his 13th shutout of the season, which leads all Division II goalkeepers. The win was No. 600 for Rockhurst coach Tony Tocco, who becomes the third men’s college coach to reach 600 or more career victories.

On Nov. 11, Nick McDonald scored his 10th goal of the season to lead Rockhurst to a 1-0 victory over Saginaw Valley State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Bourke Field. McDonald scored on a shot from eight yards out in the 56th minute. Ryan Bass posted his 12th shutout of the season.
