A Schedule that Fits your Busy Life

Earn your EMBA in just 21 months with a convenient schedule that meets every other Saturday with approximately four additional Friday sessions included each semester. Rockhurst's EMBA program begins with a four-day orientation session in early September, then continues through the fall, spring and summer in year one, and fall and spring in year two. Each fall and spring semester ends with a two-day wrap-up session. See a sample schedule.

Learning Focus

The Executive MBA program develops excellent managers and leaders who have the knowledge and skills to lead change.  The program employs four primary methods for student learning and development:

Faculty and Peer Led Discussion

Faculty leverage the class time to involve students to share and apply their experience.  In this way, learning is not just one-way but allows the collective experience of the cohort to aid in learning.

Company-based Projects

One important method of application is to apply the tools (e.g., marketing, finance, supply chain) to real projects specific to the student's job.  Many of these projects actually get implemented.

Facilitated Simulation

General management is non-functional and students in the Executive MBA get a chance to practice general management through business simulations designed for managers.

Coaching and Networking

Every student is assigned to an executive coach who helps students direct their own learning to their individualized development needs.
