Graduates with an EMBA will:

Lead change and influence action by effectively:

  1. Assessing others and influence action through engagement, self-confidence and /or negotiated agreement.
  2. Plans for resistance in change projects or situations and effectively overcomes barriers in situations dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  3. Becoming self-aware to enable diplomatically handing and diffusing challenging and stressful situations.

Manage growth in business units by effectively:

  1. Constructing clear expectations for outcomes (that are aligned with larger unit goals and objectives) that allow adequate authority for subordinate autonomy and action.
  2. Devising and using adequate (and timely) feedback to employees that allows for self-evaluation and self-improvement.
  3. Building cooperation around common goals and establishing cultural norms that value diversity while seeking high performance.

Formulate and defend a personal worldview that includes

  1. Stakeholder analysis while discriminating between and among primary, secondary and tertiary stakeholders.
  2. Delineation of ethical principles

Analyze various business situations, including international, involving decisions from an executive viewpoint considering impact and consequences on all stakeholders.

Solve various functional problems using functional knowledge and skills.

Plan opportunities systematically, strategically, and with measureable outcomes.

Analyze how international businesses develop their global strategies.

Identify and explain the reasons for and growth of international businesses.

Examine how political, cultural, legal and economic factors affect international business.

Employ appropriate primary and secondary resources to make decisions that are aligned to strategic goals. (action orientation)

Appraise and assess business markets and firm positions regarding:

  1. Competitive structure
  2. Firm strategies
  3. External market factors

Deliver informative and persuasive communications in written and oral form that:

  1. are organized, and well supported with facts and logical interpretation.
  2. Present with clarity and effect big ideas using story-based narrative.
  3. Publish in final form accurately, concisely, and coherently.

Listen and respond appropriately and with clarity to discussion threads.
