Five, 8 week terms are offered throughout the year with entry points in August, October, January, March and June.
When do classes meet?
Classes meet one night per week from 5:45 to 9 p.m. Most classes meet in Conway Hall, home of the Helzberg School of Management.
What is the admission process?
Each student must complete a Helzberg graduate school application and have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited institution. Official transcripts from your degree-granting institution is required and should be mailed directly from your school to:

Can I fit a certificate into my busy life?
Both tracks within our data science certificate program are designed with you — the working professional — in mind. That’s why classes meet in the evenings, 5:45 to 9 p.m., once per week. With courses that are only eight weeks long, you’ll earn your certificate at a pace that works for you.
How does the alumni discount program work?
The alumni discount allows students to take 1 class each semester at a reduced tuition cost. The half-off tuition prices is per semester or 3 classes a year, not per 8 week term. Students will complete an alumni discount form with the adviser and are able to register for a class two weeks before the term begins if space is available. If the class is full, students using the alumni discount will be unable to register. Alumni discounted courses must be paid for on the day of registration and are not eligible to be covered with federal student loans. More information may be found here.
Is the data science certificate affordable?
The total 2016-17 data science certificate program cost is about $8,220, excluding technology fees and course materials. With the average cost of a master’s degree at more than $40,000, this certificate program is an affordable option that can lead you to success.
Can I complete my projects using my current company’s data and analytic tools?
You are encouraged to use coursework to solve relevant business problems. We want you to use the programs and data relevant to your career as much as possible. If that’s not an option for you, don’t worry. We also offer the option of obtaining data sets from your Helzberg School instructors.
