LET’S CELEBRATE WITH THE GRADUATES!

The Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations invites you to participate in the HAWK WALK RECEPTION for family, friends and faculty of the Rockhurst University graduating Class of 2011!

4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011

Graduation is a time to celebrate! This May, Rockhurst invites our 2011 graduates, families and friends to take part in a graduation tradition - the HAWK WALK. Students, join your fellow graduates and show your Rockhurst pride as we walk en masse from commencement to Kansas City's famed Power & Light District for a special reception.

Immediately following the commencement ceremony, the Class of 2011 will continue in the recessional march directly out of Municipal Auditorium to Kansas City's Power & Light District. Family and friends are invited to join them at the end of the recessional march (outside the auditorium) in the 4-block [0.3 miles] walk or meet them in the Power and Light District.

(Wear your walking shoes.)

• Graduates are asked to continue wearing their caps and gowns and walk en masse to the inside patio at the Power and Light District (a private area will be reserved for the Rockhurst celebration).
• Once there, appetizers and cash bar will be available.
• Fr. Curran will be in the Power and Light District (after the Commencement ceremony) where pictures can be taken (the backdrop of the Rockhurst logo will be on site).
• We will feature a slide show on the big screen and provide opportunity for you and your family to take pictures with friends, Rockhurst faculty and staff.

This is the occasion to honor our Class of 2011 and to welcome our graduates as new Rockhurst alumni!
