Pham received her Ph.D. in economics and most recently was a statistician in the risk management agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. She is an expert in SAS programming, advanced SQL programming, R, ArcGIS mapping and spatial analysis.


In her work with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Pham created multilevel regression models to assess risks by crop type and irrigation practice where no established methodology previously existed, and she developed complex price-yield simulation models using advanced rank correlation techniques to establish premium rates for two flagship federally reinsured crop programs.


Pham’s teaching areas will include time series analysis and forecasting, spatial data analysis, applied data mining, and business intelligence.
