Richard Wagner's teaching focuses are the principles of macroeconomics and microeconomics and the economics of business strategy.

Wagner earned a bachelor degree in economics and business administration at California State University Chico. After earning a master in economics he is currently working on a Ph.D in economics and social sciences.

Academic interests include urban and regional economics, ecological economics and business and institutional economics.
