Dr. Fitzpatrick's primary teaching focus is global courses, which includes principles of macroeconomics; principles of microeconomics; the developing world: economics, politics and culture; political economy; economic systems of the world; and global economic issues.

Earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of St. Thomas, Dr. Fitzpatrick went on to obtain both her master's and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Notre Dame.

She has taught corporate social responsibility, global markets, cross-cultural management, social entrepreneurship and competitive analysis. Her research interests lie in economic development, pedagogy and Catholic social teaching.

Dr. Fitzpatrick's past honors include holding the Hall Chair at the Helzberg School of Management. She is a member of Glory House Services and Kansas School of Classical Ballet.
