Dr. Phipps’ primary areas of teaching are in leadership development and business law. He teaches Leadership and Organizational Behavior, Leadership Development, Developing Leadership in Organizations and Law of Commercial Transactions. In 2010 he received the prestigious “Outstanding Professor of the Year” award from the Helzberg School of Management Student Advisory Board.
His research interest is the intersection of management, spirituality and religion. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Business Ethics, Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal, Journal of Behavioral and Applied Management and Journal of Case Studies. He is active in the Academy of Management section on management, spirituality and religion.
