Dr. Dockins is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Healthcare Leadership program. He teaches classes in Health Systems, Healthcare Quality Management, Leadership, and International Business. His prior teaching experiences include Health Ethics, Health Policy, Healthcare Strategy, Organizational Behavior, and Operations Management. Dr. Dockins has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a senior executive in U.S. and international hospitals.
While attending the University of Memphis, Dr. Dockins obtained an Ed.D degree and received an MBA from Lincoln University. He earned his undergraduate health sciences degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
His research interests lie in Healthcare Quality, Access to Healthcare, Price Transparency, Patient Satisfaction, and Employee Satisfaction, to name a few. Dr. Dockins is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City, Primaris Quality Improvement Organization, and Solventas Surgical Alliance.
Dr. Dockins also serves as a Captain in the Missouri Wing of the Civil Air Patrol, and is a FAA Certified Flight Instructor.
