Dr. Dockins is a professor of management in the health care leadership program. He teaches classes in health systems and international business. His prior teaching experiences include adjunct faculty positions with courses taught in health ethics, health policy, health care systems, organizational behavior and operations management.

While attending the University of Memphis, Dr. Dockins obtained an Ed.D. degree and received an MBA from Lincoln University. His earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

His research interests lie in health ethics, access to health care, health policy, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction to name a few. Dr. Dockings is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the Academy of Management and a member of the Kansas City Plaza Rotary. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Primaris, Missouri's federally designated Medicare Quality Improvement Organization.
