Dave Fowler is a former Managing Partner at KPMG in Kansas City who serves as an Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor in the Helzberg School of Management. As managing partner with KPMG from 2000 to his retirement in 2013, he specialized in business leader development and career management in addition to his primary role of managing the 300-person, KPMG practice in Kansas City. He was a co-facilitator and leader in the firm’s Lead Partner Academy, a leadership development program for the firm’s younger, high-performing partners. Over his 36-year career at KPMG, he rose progressively to become an influential leader of the firm and his profession. He joined the faculty at Rockhurst University’s Helzberg School of Management in 2013 bringing extensive industry experience in accounting, client development, and consulting. Professor Fowler is the driving force behind the Magis Leaders Program, having been involved through its formulation and design development. He is the lead professor of the program and will be supported by full-time faculty of the Helzberg School.
