Research Interests: I am a socio-cultural anthropologist. My geographical areas of expertise are South and Southeast Asia, specifically, my research sites were in Varanasi, India and now in Bangkok, Thailand. My theoretical focus include: ethnicity, religion, kinship, gender, and transnationalism.
