Film Series
Twice each year, the series presents three interrelated films. The series has included foreign language films, films commemorating the end of World War II, films based on historical periods, films dealing with philosophical issues, and films focusing on women's studies. The co-curricular series partners with university academic departments.
The public is invited; tickets, at the door, are $3 each; $7 for the series; the Rockhurst community is free.

Spring 2012
March 14 - The Conversation (1974)
This film examines the responsibility of a surveillance expert who makes the mistake of becoming too involved with one of his assignments. With Gene Hackamn; directed by Francis Ford Coppola. (113 minutes) Introduction by Robert Vigliotti, Ph.D.
March 21 - The Island (2005)
In a futuristic underground city, two people try to escape when they discover they are being kept as a source of replacement parts in a utopian facility. With Ewan McGregor; directed by Michael Bay. (136 minutes). Introduction by John Morris, Ph.D.
March 28 - Win Win (2011)
A middle-aged lawyer and wrestling coach takes in a runaway boy who doesn't seem to fit into his average, middle-class life and then finds himself challenged at every turn. With Paul Giamatti; directed by Tom McCarthy. (106 minutes) Introduction by Chris Hancock, Ph.D.
Films are shown on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. in Mabee Theater, Sedgwick Hall, 53rd and Troost Avenue.
Audience members are invited to post-film discussions.
Admission paid at the door, is $3 for each film or $7 for the series.
