Midwest Poets Series: Valzhyna Mort

Valzhyna Mort, born in Minsk, Belarus, made her 2008 American debut with the poetry collection Factory of Tears (Copper Canyon). Mort received the 2005 Crystal of Vilenica award in Slovenia and the 2008 Burda Poetry Prize in Germany. In 2010, she received a Lannan Foundation Literary Fellowship and the Bess Hokin Prize from Poetry.
Cost is $3 or free with Rockhurst University ID. Reception and book signing follow the reading.
