Commissioned by Jesuit priest Fr. Ignaz Parhammer in 1768, the marvelous Waisenhausmesse, K. 139 (“Orphanage Mass”) was composed by the 12-year old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Musica Sacra will also perform two psalm settings by Johann Adolph Hasse, who dominated the musical life of Dresden in the middle of the 18th century.
