LaCroix Lecture Spring 2013 “Moral Error as a Source of Intellectual Error”

The Department of Philosophy presents the spring 2013 LaCroix Lecture by Bruce Ballard, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Mo. Ballard received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Texas. He has published Understanding MacIntyre (2000); The Role of Mood in Heidegger’s Ontology (1991); and many papers on topics such as the problem of evil, just war, natural law, pluralism and social philosopy in such journals as The Journal of Value Inquiry, Christian Scholar’s Review, Philosophy Today and Faith and Philosophy. He teaches courses in many areas including Continental Philosophy, Christianity and Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, Logic, New Testament Survey and Major World Religions. In addition to his work at Lincoln University, he has taught at the University of Texas-Austin, University of South Carolina-Aiken, Southwest Texas State University and Stephens College (Columbia).
