Rockhurst Film Series: "Amazing Grace"

The Rockhurst University Film Series and the Department of Theology and Religious Studies will present films on three consecutive Wednesdays in March. Theology faculty will introduce the films and conduct post-film discussions. Admission, at the door, is $3 or $7 for the series.
Amazing Grace (2006) captures the life and times of 18th-century reformer William Wilberforce who led the campaign against slave trade in the British Empire. The film also recounts the experiences of a slave ship crewman John Newton whose poem was later used in the hymn “Amazing Grace.” Starring Ioan Gruffudd and Albert Finney; directed by Michael Apted.
