| The Heritage Society recognizes the
500 men and women who have provided for the future of
Rockhurst University by arranging gifts that endure
beyond their own life. A "Heritage" is something
of value passed to future generations. Rockhurst wants
to show members our appreciation now for gifts that
will benefit our work in the future.
Rockhurst is grateful to the men and women who join
our work to educate men and women of all ages with an
excellent University education based on the Jesuit ideals
of learning, leadership and service.
Individuals, couples or families are enrolled in the
Society when we learn they have made plans to assist
Rockhurst by bequest or beneficiary arrangements or
other gift plans. These plans include wills, trusts,
retirement plans, transfer on death or pay on death
arrangements, beneficiary deeds, insurance policies
or charitable gift annuities.
Enrollment is without regard to the amount of the gift.
As a member of the Heritage Society, a donor can be
confident that he or she is leaving a legacy that will
continue to benefit the Rockhurst family of Jesuits,
faculty, students and alumni.
Members of the Society receive:
- special recognition in the annual honor roll of
Rockhurst;
- a lapel pin signifying enrollment;
- an invitation to a special recognition luncheon
each year;
- perpetual gratitude from the University community;
- subscription to MAGIS, a publication of
the Society;
- Weekly eNewsletter with state-of-the-art estate
planning information.
Each of the members has looked to the future on behalf
of Rockhurst. Each has followed the teachings of St.
Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuits, to generously
share gifts from God. Their gifts will multiply through
their impact on the lives of men and women of future
generations. Rockhurst is very grateful to the members
of the Heritage Society for their plans to secure the
future of Jesuit Education at Rockhurst.
A simple declaration of your intention to put Rockhurst
into your estate plan or establish a life income plan
is all that is required for participation in THE HERITAGE
SOCIETY. Of course, we respect anonymity if desired,
but we would appreciate knowing of your plans. |
