Merit-based Scholarships for Transfer Students
Merit-based Rockhurst scholarships reward transfer students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 and higher. Full-time students with high academic standing are eligible to receive renewable academic scholarships.
Students automatically are considered for these scholarships when they apply for admission. Awards may be renewable based on specific criteria.
Endeavor Scholarship - $7,000
Awarded to transferring students who who have a cumulative GPA of 2.75-2.99.
Jesuit Opportunity Scholarship - $10,000
Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0-3.29.
Founder's Scholarship - $12,000
Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.3-3.59.
Distinguished Scholarship - $15,000
Awarded to transferring students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.6-4.0.
Phi Theta Kappa - $20,000
Awarded to transferring students with proof of membership. This supercedes any other scholarship you receive from Rockhurst.
Greater Kansas City Community College Scholarship - $2,000
Awarded to transferring, full-time students matriculating from the regional community college systems (Donnelly, JCCC, KCKCC, MCC).
Family Award - $1,000
Awarded to each undergraduate, dependent student in the family currently attending Rockhurst.
Finucane Service Award - $1,500
Awarded to students who have demonstrated outstanding service. Limited number awarded. Service resume and essay required. Online application information here.
Ignatius of Loyola Award - Variable
Awarded to selected students who demonstrate financial need and who meet the Rockhurst financial aid guidelines.
NCAA, Div II, Athletic* - Variable**
Awarded by the Rockhurst University athletic department based on athletic ability. Contact the athletic department for application process.
* Intercollegiate sports for men are basketball, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, tennis and golf. Women's sports are basketball, softball, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, cross country, tennis and golf.
** Offers of athletic aid will be coordinated with other institutional aid to meet NCAA equivalency requirements. Aid packages may have to be reevaluated.
Rockhurst University has the right to evaluate institutional financial aid packages. The total institutional award from RU may not exceed the cost of tuition.
