enclosed shopping, restaurant, theater, and hotel
complex. Outdoor ice skating - November through
March.
Hallmark Visitors Center - Crown Center,
Level Three. Exhibits present the story of Hallmark
Cards.
City Market - 5th and Walnut. Redeveloped
historic area with the largest open-air farmer's
market in Missouri.
Country Club Plaza - 450 Ward Parkway.
Retail, restaurant, and entertainment district
with more than 160 shops and restaurants, set
in old-world architecture.
Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art - 4525 Oak.
Be sure to see the Thomas Hart Benton collection,
the Asian collections, the Henry Moore Sculpture
Garden.
Westport - Broadway and Westport Road.
Historic district features shops, restaurants,
and galleries in some of the city's most historic
buildings.
Truman Sports Complex - I-70 & Blue Ridge
Cutoff. Twin stadiums for baseball (Kansas
City Royals) and football (Kansas
City Chiefs).
Kansas City International Airport - 25
minutes northwest of Downtown. Taxis, express
buses, limousines, and the KCI Shuttle transports
visitors to and from city locations.
Midland Theatre - 1228 Main. One of five
theatres in Downtown Kansas City's Avenue of
the Arts historic theater district.
Linda Hall Library - 5109 Cherry. One
of our closest neighbors. The largest privately
funded library of science, engineering, and technology
in the country.
Kansas City Art Institute - 4415 Warwick
Offers exhibitions throughout the area as well
as tours of the 12-acre campus (by appointment).
